Y6 Team Building Day after SATS
Take a look at the fantastic achievements of some of the children this year so far in our school.
If you think you have a news story to be shared about one of our children or staff members, then simply email it to Mrs Dominey or Mrs Foster, we always enjoy celebrating well deserved successes.

Y6 Team Building Day after SATS
Local MP recreates Parliament at LMPS
Today we celebrated King Charles III's Coronation!
As two members of the ELSA team in LMPS, we have been successfully delivering the Hamish & Milo Wellbeing Intervention for the past year.
As you are all no doubt aware we are currently all experiencing additional financial pressures due to the increasing energy costs and the general rise in the cost of living, as a school LMPS are not immune to this and as you can image it is immense pressure on an already stretched budget.
We have had many generous donations of LMPS school uniform in new, nearly new and good used condition. We have items in all sizes from ages 4 to 11+. This initiative is set up in the School Music Studio every Wednesday afternoon, after school. Please come and have a browse and take any items you need.
ALL FREE!
Visiting St Mary’s Church at the weekend, it was lovely to see the alternative, sustainable Christmas decorations on the tree in church made by our very own LMPS Eco Warriors!
Thank you for giving us all such good ideas and a very well done to them all!
Kind regards,
Kris Knudsen
School Governor
Year 6 have delighted audiences this week with their Christmas production, 'Scrooged' - an abridged version of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carols. There were ghosts, Christmas markets, Victorian school rooms and Tiny Tim of course!
On Tuesday 6th December, Year 3 set off on their FIRST EVER school trip! Over the Autumn Term, we have been researching and learning about the Stone Age, so were better to go than the mysterious Stonehenge! We had a guided tour around the stones where we had the chance to ask any questions that we had to the experts (they were very impressed by our curiosity!).
Come along to our Christmas Fayre this evening. Open from 16:00 - 18:00. Grab a bargain, get the chance to win a bottle or some chocolate and other festive events.
On Monday 21st of November, the hall was transformed into a Victorian Fayre. Year 6 invited their families and friends along to celebrate their learning of the Industrial Revolution and the Victorians. Exhibits featured inventions such as dynamite and the x-ray and Victorian toys were out on display such as hopscotch, cup-and-ball, skipping ropes and ball-and-hoop.
Children in Need 2022
On Friday 18th November Lytchett Matravers Primary School supported Children in Need. All the children and staff came into school dressed ‘Spotacularly!’. As always everyone was very generous and we managed to raise £412.07 (£12 was kindly donated by Pre-School).
Thank you to everyone for helping us support such a worthy cause.
