Welcome to Year 5

Thank you to all the parents who came to the 'Meet the Meeting' today. It was great to meet you all. The children were very excited to show you their new classroom and the work they were doing. 

If you were unable to attend the meeting, the PowerPoint shown is saved at the bottom of this page. 

We have already had a super start to Year 5 and are excited for our year together.  We look forward to seeing you at the 'Meet the Teacher' meeting on Wednesday 11th September at 9am in the hall.

 

Year 5 Trip to Cranborne Ancient Technology Centre

We had the most amazing day, despite the rain and the mud!  We lived as Vikings for the day; learning how to weave fences from Hazel branches, make fires the Viking way, dressing up as a Viking and learning to weave.  We were so inspired by the wonderful surroundings and really immersed ourselves in their lifestyles.   The staff at the centre really inspired us and brought our topic to life, reigniting our curiosity and wanting to find out more.......
